The Tale of Three Benches
During this down time I have been able to get a lot done, as we all have. But all this free time to ourselves is beginning to grow old and monotonous. In the Midst of Monsoons
Well, we are finally having gorgeous down pours on a daily basis here in Tucson. I’m loving it. But man, did we suffer through some hell -type temps to get to this point. My tomatoes are loving the rain too. However, the cantaloupe is a wash. Not one fruit. And I have decided it’s not the heat that affected them. Melons love heat! I believe it’s the lack of bees for pollination. The past three years I have noticed less and less bees. And I am sad about that. So I got to thinking about raising bees in my back…

The Gathering Season
The gathering season is upon us. What better way to usher the fall season in by attending the Patagonia Fall Festival this weekend. October 7-9. That’s right. The beautiful and quaint western town of Patagonia is practically right in our back yards…only 1 hour away, One of my favorite places to visit and I will be participating in the Art show in the park.
