Well, we are finally having gorgeous down pours on a daily basis here in Tucson. I’m loving it. But man, did we suffer through some hell -type temps to get to this point.
My tomatoes are loving the rain too. However, the cantaloupe is a wash. Not one fruit. And I have decided it’s not the heat that affected them. Melons love heat! I believe it’s the lack of bees for pollination. The past three years I have noticed less and less bees. And I am sad about that. So I got to thinking about raising bees in my back yard. My sister and her husband do this in Denver. They are kinda new at it but they are pretty excited. And now I’m thinking of doing the same. It would be a commitment for sure but I really want to make my environment Bee friendly. I have to do more research so I will let your know more about that on another day.
So, lots of news to announce. I am in three new galleries this summer! I decided to make a practical business move by cutting back on craft shows and place more of my work in galleries and shops. I will still participate in the best shows in Tucson: The Chris Bubany Artisan Market at Harlow Gardens and Tucson Museum of Art Holiday Artisans Market, both in November and in March.
Here are the three places that my work is in:
SAAG GALLERY at Casas Adobes Plaza, I have a mix of pottery bowls, vases and shadow boxes.

SAAG Gallery will feature their artists at the Outlook Restaurant, Oro Valley, August 6th from 11-4 pm. And I will be there as well. I hope to see you there.
Jane Hamilton Gallery carries my luminaries, tiled mosaic benches and shadow boxes.

Harlow Garden carries my outdoor mosaics.

My Etsy has a variety of gifts and wall art for any one who loves art. This site is perfect for those who like to send gifts to loved ones but don’t want to hassle with shipping. We do it for you!
Stay tuned because I will have another gift shop featuring my work in the fall, Hacienda del Sol.
You can always find my work at Tohono Chul, Tucson Botanical Gardens and Tucson Museum of Art.
Speaking of Tohono Chul, my fun tribute to Dia de los Muertos has just been accepted for their annual homage to this holiday celebrated through out Mexico and the southwest. . Opening reception is Thursday, August 24th from 5:30- 8:00 pm.
