Here in Tucson, we are in our spring..right now. But don’t blink….for the 90 temps will be here shortly. I have been loving the weather and trying to be out doors as much as possible.
Either in my backyard gardening, smelling flowers, admiring the hummers and bees or hiking up in our mountains, I love it all.
Sunday’s hike up Pima Canyon:
My mosaic workshops and clay classes are in full swing now and the art shows are winding down. I have a few more shows in April and a possible open studio in May. I’m still deciding the date for that. Regardless, I plan to hold a sale for my birthday month, May. Keep an eye out for that.
Here is a picture of the March 23rd class.
I would say they are pretty happy with their project. Everyone completes the workshop with a sense of joy and achievement. My April 27th class has already filled up. The next class will be May 25th and June 22. Click here to reserve your seat.
I will also be giving a talk at Blue Raven Art School on Friday, April 5th on my upcoming Small Sculpture Tile Class, 4 week series. It is free to the public. If you would like to know more before signing up come along. I will be demonstrating and taking questions.
Here is a picture of the bottom of my kiln, as I was unloading the morning of the class. Pretty cute cat faces.
Art in the Garden
This show is not to be missed. I will be attending on the 13th and 14th of April. What’s unique about this show is it is held at a residence on the northwest side of town. 1510 W Avocado St., Tucson, AZ. From 10-4. All the artists are required to bring a dish or two for the two days. There is a team of food handlers who spread out the food for the customers and the artists all. day. long! There will be entertainment and probably beautiful weather in a beautiful garden setting. I can’t wait. You are officially invited too.
Moonlight Art Market
Don’t forget to join me and other artists for this lovely event at Harlow Gardens annual invitational art sale, April 27th from 6-8:30 pm. This is always a nice event to come to, set in the evening hours, with yummy refreshments in a beautiful setting.
