Need a Little Inspiration?

Need a little inspiration? I know I do. Looking forward to the holidays has become a continuing challenge. I could list the traditions we can’t do as a community but what good would that do? Like the Grinch that Stole Christmas, I choose to be a Who in Whoville. Nobody, no thing, no lack of traditions can steal your joy without your permission.

“The joy of the Lord is my strength” Nehemiah 8:10. That is what I hang onto. And in that scripture I look for inspiration. Be it expression through time with family, (grandkids) art, dancing or worshiping our creator of the universe.

Of coarse I spend most my time at work, in the studio, creating, designing, and planning. I just keep going regardless of how the world is. Most of 2020 God has given me opportunity after opportunity to share my joy with others in my mosaic workshops. It’s been such a blessing and rewarding. I have seen many ladies and a few gents glow with happiness to be creating something beautiful. By the end of the workshop everyone is so joyful to complete an art piece that means something to them. I have to say that is inspiring and spiritual.

Because this is the month of giving thanks, there is so much to be thankful for. I thank God that my family is healthy, we love one another and we have been sustained throughout the year. Things are different and yet we endure not with our own strength but through God’s strength. He is faithful.
