Planning Your Summer Staycations

Another couple weeks and school will be let out for the summer.  The weather is heating up (in Tucson) and ya’ll are preparing to make a list of places you want to go and things you want to do for fun.  Yes, fun!  It’s supposed to be fun in the summer.

May I make a suggestion?  How about take an art class.  Get the family together and have a family art reunion, where everyone gets to make something.  If you have never done such a thing, you could call it the 1st Annual Family Art Reunion!  Do you have a bridal shower you have to plan? Or are you on the planning committee for your class reunion?

Art!  It’s a creative, fun activity and doing something with your hands (besides hold a beer) breaks the ice with those you haven’t seen in 30 years.

Needless to say I love ideas like that.  And that is why I am offering clay classes, clay parties and private lessons too.  Last summer I was asked to teach a clay party for a bridal shower.  The mother of the bride asked everyone to make a few small tiles to create a mosaic momento for the bride and groom.  I brought all the supplies and clay and everyone collaborated.  We all had a blast and it kept the focus on the bride.

Class schedule in May as follows:

I am offering 3 Flower Shadow Box classes with 3 different times and days. Starting Monday, April 28 I will hold a Flower Shadow Box class from 10-1 for 2 weeks (or it might turn into 4 weeks, it depends on how fast my students are) but regardless, my classes are semi-private and we all have fun. I have room for one more,  please contact me below if you are interested in this time slot.  Cost is $110.00 and includes everything, clay, glaze and firing.
