Next Mosaic Bench Workshop is scheduled for February 27 & 28, 2026

Is making a mosaic garden bench on your bucket list? Pick from hundreds of handmade tiles by Robin to design your very own bench. Learn how to design, glue and grout it all in with expertise.

Includes: The cost is $ 1125.00 and includes pre-made tiles by Robin, a concrete bench reinforced with rebar, filler tile, glue, grout, tax, and lesson. Tiles include up to 4 large-size tiles (3″ to 5″ tiles) and all the filler tiles to complete the bench. It is an intensive 2-day workshop. We will begin on Friday morning at 8 and work designing and gluing for 5 hours. On Saturday we will begin at 8 a.m. mixing and applying the grout until finished, 3-4 hours. You will be bending over, squatting, and using elbow grease to complete your bench.  Also, you may bring a spouse or significant other to help you with your bench.

The following Monday you will be able to take your bench home. You will need to make arrangements to have someone come help you load the bench into your vehicle. 

Options:

If you would like custom tiles (like your pets or favorite critters) created for you, contact me. The cost is extra. If you like and want any tile you have seen on my benches please send me a note telling me you want specific tiles. I will make sure I have them set aside for you.

Understanding:

Many people have taken my mosaic classes over the years and I only make a certain number of tile for each class. For instance, if you want a certain number of Saguaro tiles or barrel cactus or a cat, etc…then you need to tell me. Otherwise, it’s the luck of the draw when everyone gets to the workshop at the same time. But I promise there are always plenty of beautiful and whimsical tiles for everyone to choose from.

Critter tiles such as coyotes, rabbits, wild cats, and roadrunners with extra cute details are priced accordingly.

If you would like to have your bench grouted for you, there will be an extra cost.
